Tuesday's Tutorial is Back...on Tuesday!

I have just a real quick little tutorial for you today on how to make a photo mask.  It's just Part 1; I'll be back next week with some additional tips for adding interest to your mask.

I have one new item in my store, I am the Door.

This is a paper pack with 6 unique, painterly, papers, all featuring a door.  Three have Scripture in addition to the image.  I have a stockpile of about 175 different doors, so you might be seeing another pack of these.  I think they would be great for art journaling or faithbooks.

If any of you are newsletter subscribers, you will be getting your February issue tomorrow.  I'm so glad that this month has an extra day!

Blessings.

Friday Features: February 24th Edition

Well, I got a "bee in my bonnet," as my Nana used to say, and tore apart my laundry room/office/sewing room/sometime guest room to try to make it more efficient.  Of course, you know when that happens, anything but efficiency is achieved.  At least for several days.

Alas, in the middle of books, scrapbook pages, and art supplies flung willy-nilly around the room, there wasn't much designing going on.  I need to have order to concentrate, and besides, I really don't need to add to my already scatterbrained thought patterns by doing more than one big thing at a time!  I'm pretty sure The Male, although he didn't say a thing, wanted to see the kitchen counter (staging area) again!

But, things are pretty much back to normal; there are just a few things that I'm still pondering where the most sensible place is for them.  And, there's laundry to be folded.

Would you like to see the one thing I designed this week?

I really like this and had great fun making the sample page.  I've been taking photos with Instagram every morning while out exercising, and I'm wanting now to make an entire month's worth of those pictures.  Each box is a separate layer for a clipping mask. The diamond grid can be used in only the unused boxes or not at all.  I've included a grid for assistance with placing the date numbers; once your numbers are in place, just turn off or delete this layer.  And, finally, I've included .psd and .png formats.  I hope you enjoy using this as much as I did!

Oh, my!  *Insert whacking myself on the forehead here.*

I've completely forgotten to tell you of the most important event in our life lately!  We have a new, beautifully formed and wonderfully made, grandson!  He was born a week ago Thursday, and we had Big Brother and Big Sister here for the weekend, and so there went my mental capabilities!

Here's a quick little peek at our new guy:

I had a great time scrapping three double pages of his birth.  I was honored to be in the delivery room when he joined us; it's truly awe-inspiring...

For today's tutorial, I cover two tips for working with type.

And, now, here are your Friday Features:

Tuesday's Tutorial & Other News

First, I have a new word art pack, Under His Wing, available now and on sale.

I've actually done a little scrapping, too.

Both of these layouts use my Template Pack Vol. 5, Doubles.  In the top layout, I used my kit, A California Christmas.  For the second one, I used Count the Ways, from Digital Scrapper.

For Tuesday's Tutorial, I thought I'd actually have it on Tuesday this time!  Just for a change!  :-)  This is how to change a clipping mask to better fit your photograph.

And, now, I hope you all are enjoying a Valentine's Day with your loved ones.

Friday Features: February 10 Edition (Or myabe the 11th...)

The time just got away from me yesterday, so I'm a little late with this post.  And, then this morning, well, life happened today, too!

But, I was busy this week, designing and making all sorts of things.  I have three new items up in the shop at goDigitalScrapbooking.

The first two are Places in the Heart and Places in the Heart Word Art, made as part of a collab with Amanda of Outside the Box for her art journaling workshop.

If you'd like to know more about the workshop, check out Amanda's store.  Scroll down, looking at all the wonderful art journaling kits until you get to the workshop.  If you sign up for her workshop, you'll get a coupon for 50% off these kits, good until the end of the month.  I've made these to be adaptable to a variety of scrapping/art journaling styles, so you certainly don't need to be in her workshop to use them.

Next, I have a new kit, J'adore, French for "I adore you."  And, no, I don't speak French. (I lasted one miserable week in French class and transferred to German!)  I just like the sound and the sentiment and thought it fit the mood of this kit.

I've been wanting to design a Paris-influenced kit for some time now, and this this is it.  There are eight papers and 19 distinct elements.  Of course, you don't have to scrap about Paris to use it!

Here are your Friday Features:
So, that's it for today, my friends.  God bless you all.

Friday Features: February 6 Edition

Thank you, Anita, for the wonderful layouts you posted using my products! It is always so fun to see my products on pages!
Here's a layout Anita made using my Winter Photo Mask that was the posting bonus for the January Photography Challenge. Made me want to go put a coat on!

And, my friend Hannah made this great page using my Template Pack, Vol. 6:
Love the tuckered out boys!

I've finished my first layout for my 2012 album, using my Twelve x 12 album templates. I used Modern Marvel for the kit.

I got only one comment about the palette choices, but it was my favorite, too, so I'm going with this one:
I think there's enough variation to keep me from getting bored!

I have only one new product this week, Digi Doodling, Vol.1:

Today's video is a short lesson on how to begin a layout by using a template.

And, for Friday Features:
  • Over at Get it Scrapped, there's a great printable with journal prompts and lists for February.
  • Sovereign Grace is having their annual February sale.  All their music albums are available for only $6. each.  It's a great deal.
And, that's all for today, my friends; I'm hosting a breakfast for the ladies in my church tomorrow morning, so I must get to the vacuuming. God bless.

Faith is the flip side of repentance.
While repentance speaks of turning from sin,
faith is turning to the Savior.
The object of saving faith is not a creed, not a church,
not a pastor, not a set of rituals or ceremonies.
Jesus is the object of saving faith.
